The Great Migration is the time of plenty. Waiting at the edge of the crossing the opportunist predators take down several prey at one go. This one had two in the bag and going for the third.
Tanmay Keshav Awesome! Did she get the one on the left?
Arijit Kanani Super moment!
Arun Ahuja yes tanmay got 3, strangely while she was on the third, one small one got up and scampered away, must have surely died somewhere later

Tanmay Keshav Awesome. Low light?
Arun Ahuja yup
Aniket Khamkar Strange that there are no other vultures around? Usually, they would congregate around and clean up
Arun Ahuja i guess it's the time of plenty (migration). there are lots of dead carcasses around, so smaller bunch of scavengers scattered all over
the famous 5 on a Topi kill
Benjamin Thomas Raw nature. Saw the kill being made?
Rajan R D Amazing. they are 5 sub-adults?
Arun James Mind blowing
Arun Ahuja thanks guys. @ rajan they looked adult but young. @benjamin yes we saw the kill being made, early morning, since the prey was big they were quite strategic in their approach, first one went for the chase so that the prey is not so worried and then rest join in too, was quite a sight.
Aniket Khamkar Wow!
Rajan R D @Arun: 5 of them together would be quite a powerhouse. I'm sure they would be making kills quite regularly. Have they given a name to this group?
Arun Ahuja thanks aniket. rajan, not sure they have a name but are known as the coalition, and most people who have visited have probably seen them kill some animal or the other, rulers of the savannah

Arijit Kanani Power packed image.. can sense their nervousness!
Tanuj Really nice shot! @ Arun- can you share your broad itinerary as I would like to travel to Masai Mara too.. did you manage to see the migration at its peak?
Arun Ahuja thanks guys. @ tanuj i was there 28th to 4th September, a week only in masai mara national reserve. Managed to see 2 big and one small crossing. You need to be patient for crossings, even if they gather in numbers at the river, the crossing might not happen. We managed to see one only on the 4th day. When you planning to go?
