Hi all,
I want to visit Kanha and Bandhavgarh during October 27 onwards ( Diwali). Will the park closed on Diwali ? For how many days?. Also, when does the online portal open again for permit booking.
Azeez Zakir All the mp parks are closed on diwali for just one day. Better cross check again .
Himadri Sen Thanks for replying , also any idea when the online portal will open for booking?
Shubham Palit Last year booking opened around August 1st week..keep checking the portal regularly..
Hi, everyone, I want a suggestion for budget accommodation in bera. I want to do 2 safaris. Tentative date is in February end week.
D P Paul I am just back from Bera. You can contact Mr Jassu Ranawat the best guide of Bera. He will also organise homestay at Leopards Paradise. Contact him on 9588094063/7410955919
D P Paul Will post awesome leopard fight which we witnessed during our safari.
Tanmay Keshav Thanks for the info!
Tigress in Jhirna zone ,typical corbett landscape.
we were waiting and listening to the growling and mating calls. Suddenly she came out of the hide and the male tiger followed her after 10 mins.
Hello, i want to ask the group, i can book frh accomodation for jhirna or Dhela in corbett but safaris are not available in those range for my dates, safaris available in durga devi range only , can i do safari there from jhirna or dhela frh in durga devi?
Tanmay Keshav Hi Himadri, if you are able to book the forest rest house, then i don’t think you need to book safari permits separately for those days. The frh booking covers the entry permit, which you otherwise would need to book separately if you were staying outside the zones. I think you just need to fix up with someone for jeep booking
Sandeep Gupta In any case you are allowed to stay including night halt. So technically you are in the zone, only a vehicle for movement in the zone is required.
Himadri Sen Thank you both, I got it after the booked the stay permit. Do I need to pay the guide charges extra, it is not mentioned in the booking slip.
Himadri Sen I had a wonderful stay at jhirna, the habitat is very beautiful. he season is a mating season, we had been continously greeted with growling of two mating pairs. In our two safaris we had sighting of a mating pair, another female, tusker, female elephant with baby, greater hornbill, pied hornbill, Himalayan griffon vulture, changeable hawk Eagle, jackal, wild boar, sambar stag and many other prey animals. It was paisa wasol for a short trip, wish I could stay longer.
Aditya Vaidya Thanks for the update. That’s really awesome
