Thumb 105

We were lucky to get a pair of Spot-winged Starlings (Saroglossa spilopterus) visiting the blooming coral tree (Erythrina sps.), where scores of other birds (Orange-bellied Leafbirds, Red-vented Bulbuls, Chestnut-winged Starlings, Rose-ringed Parakeets, Common and Jungle Mynas and a single Maroon Oriole) were already feasting.
In the photo here is a male, while the female is much duller in colour.

A flock of Greylag Geese (Anser anser) clicked while on a boat ride down the Jia Bhoreli river.

Rajan R D Nice click..can you please elaborate on safari system for Nameri? How did you do the trip?

Pranad Patil @Rajan, in Nameri, you do not have vehicle safaris. You can do walking trails in the national park (options of full day or half day) or a boat ride down the river. For both, booking is done at the forest department office, which is next to Nameri Eco Camp (which is quite famous).
